This raft trip starts with a short stretch of class II – class IV rapids to warm up your paddling muscles. You’ll then dive into great Colorado whitewater with the Rodeo rapid followed by No Mad, Fall River, Deliverance, and Outer-Limits to name a few. You’ll finish up the trip with a float through the historic mining town of Idaho Springs.
Flowing through a rugged, spectacular mountain canyon filled with granite boulders and towering pine trees, Clear Creek is located just west of Denver and includes some of the most breathtaking scenery in the country.
Cool fact: One of the most popular places to visit in Idaho Springs is still the Indian Hot Springs. In 1863, Dr. E.M. Cummings bought the land and began the healing waters tourist attraction. During the first few years, more than 5,000 people attended. Among the most famous were Frank and Jesse James, Sarah Berhnardt, Walt Whitman, H.A. Tabor, the Vanderbilts, and the Roosevelts.
